Students continued PARCC testing today. Unless your child has been absent during testing, tomorrow is our last PARCC testing day. If your child has been absent, our team will arrange for them to make up what they missed.
In Science, we started our first experiment in our Plants Unit of Study. Our focus question for this experiment is: What are roots and their functions? Yesterday, students designed an experiment to test their hypothesis about roots' functions. Over the course of a week, students will observe a carrot (root) in red food coloring. Each day they will jot down observations and refer back to their hypothesis to reflect on their thinking and learning. Stay tuned for what we discover!
In Math Workshop, students learned to use number lines or pictures to help them compare equivalent fractions. Students Unit 6 Assessment will come home in their Beaver Folder this week.
