Today the kids blogged during Writers' Workshop. Ask your child what they blogged about, have them identify what kind of writing they were typing. Ask them to tell you some target learning goals they used in their writing today.
In Readers' Workshop, students took on all the responsibility to read and write about two authors' points of view on the same subject. Students used informational reading and writing strategies to complete this task. I will send home a sign and return next week with your child's results.
The kids were told their grade for their Unit 6 Math Test. Due to PARCC testing, we have not completed the back page (the fluency page) of the assessment yet. I will send these tests home next week once we have a chance to complete the fluency portion. Thank you for your patience during PARCC assessments.
