In Math Workshop, students explored fractions. They used words, pictures, and numbers to explain the meaning of fractions. Students have math homework coming home today, due tomorrow.
In Writers' Workshop, students revised their literary essays using our past target learning goals and writing strategies to strengthen and lengthen their writing.
In Readers' Workshop, students participated in an author study on their book club books. Ask your student who they think should be the "Author of the Year", encourage them to explain their thinking using evidence or facts they know about said author.
In Science, students used their schema to explain the importance of plants. Today begins our new Science Unit of Study: Plants: Growth and Function.
