Picture Day Tomorrow

Just a friendly reminder that class pictures are tomorrow.  Our class is scheduled in the morning.

Speaking of pictures... here is a snapshot of our students who participated in "Wear Your Words Wednesday"!

Today was the last day of the Mid-year PARCC Assessments for third grade.  While, testing can be very exhausting, the kids continued to work their hardest today. Everyone did a great job and should be very proud!

In Math Workshop, students used pictures and number lines to compare fractions with different denominators.  At stations, students continued to quicken their multiplication fluency, apply precise math language to complete problems about fractions, and practiced creating and drawing fractions with different numerators and denominators.

In Science, students observed our root (carrot). They jotted down changes in its physical appearance and referred back to their hypothesis to see if their thinking about roots' functions have changed.
