Out of Building Tomorrow

In Math Workshop, students used the multiplication and division diagram and equal groups to help them solve word problems with variables.

In Writers' Workshop, students created a text map to help them plan and think about organization in their opinion essays.

In Readers' Workshop, students analyzed problem and solution to help them infer ideas about theme.

In Science, students presented their learning about the lithosphere with models they created.  They used scientific claims and evidence to defend and prove their thinking.

Students visited Reading Beaver Block today.

December 12, 2014

 Parents and Guardians,

To celebrate the winter season, room 13 will be having a small celebration on Monday, December 22.  As we will be engaging in an author study of Chris Van Allsburg the week prior, on Monday we will watch the animated rendition of his book, The Polar Express (G). In addition, students voted to bring in their own special snack and drink to have during the video.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Ms. Smith
