Test THURSDAY

Hi All,

I apologize for the corrected test date; however, I didn't think Field Day and a test on the same day would yield our best results...  Thanks for your understanding!

In Math Workshop, students used measurement, patterns and conversions to help them find the perimeter of our playground, using the most efficient and precise strategy (see below).  Additionally, students then worked with partner to measure objects on the playground to the nearest quarter inch.

In Writers' Workshop, we studied a mentor text, Wonder by R.J. Palacio, to help us understand and create internal dialogue, to help our readers "know" our characters better.  If you haven't had a chance to read Wonder yet, I highly recommend this story to adults and students-- wonderful read with an important message.  This is a great book to read with children and engage in some conversation!
