Debate!

In Math Workshop, students applied their understanding of ways to show and solve multiplication word problems to help them solve division problems.  For homework, students need to play First in Math for 20 minutes as well as practice their times tables.

In Writers' Workshop, we began prepping for our SeaWorld debate.  Today we closely watched a clip of a fourth grade debate.  We jotted down what effective strategies the students used to build on our speaking and listening skills.

In Word Study, students applied their knowledge of letter patterns and prefixes to spell words in Boggle.

In Readers' Workshop, students learned another informational text structure: description.

In Social Studies, we began our comic strip project.  Students will use precise economic words and principles to create an informative comic strip about the production process.

Students visited Reading Beaver Block today.
